Welcome to The Mindful Miles Collective—an 8-week therapeutic running program for women (cis and trans) and nonbinary folks ages 18–24.

Come move your body, build community, and deepen your understanding of how you relate to yourself in the face of challenge.

Together, we’ll explore what comes up on each run—and how those same patterns carry into your everyday life.

This group is facilitated by a licensed clinical social worker and therapist and is designed to support both personal growth and meaningful connection. No running experience is required; beginners are warmly encouraged to apply.

Group size is limited to 6 participants to maintain a thoughtful, connected experience. A waitlist is available for future sessions.

❊ FAQs

You’ve got questions,
we’ve got answers

  • The purpose of this program is to support a stronger relationship with yourself—running is simply the tool we use to get there.

Unlike a typical run club, this is a therapist-led, small-group experience that combines movement with guided reflection. Runs are based on time and effort (not speed or distance), and each session includes space to process what came up and connect it to your everyday life. During group runs, the facilitator will ensure that everyone is supported and no one is left behind.

The group remains consistent over 8 weeks to support trust and connection, with additional support available between sessions.

  • No running experience is required. This group is designed to be accessible to all levels, including complete beginners.

We focus on time and effort rather than pace or distance, often using a run/walk approach. You’re encouraged to move in a way that feels sustainable for your body. The goal is to build awareness, consistency, and a more supportive relationship with yourself through movement.

Participating in a 5K at the end is optional, but encouraged—it offers a shared goal and an opportunity to celebrate together as a group.

  • This is a therapist-led group that integrates elements of mental health support, reflection, and skill-building. While it is not a substitute for individual therapy, it offers a space to explore your experiences, build insight, and connect with others in a meaningful way.

The group is intentionally small (6 participants) to support a more comfortable and connected environment. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for.

More in-depth reflection will take place between sessions through optional online prompts, which can be shared with the facilitator and/or group if you choose.

  • You’ll have ongoing structure and connection throughout the program. On day one, we’ll create an individualized running plan and set personal goals that you’ll continue to work with between sessions.

You’ll also be invited to a private online forum where you can engage with reflection prompts and share insights from your experience. An optional group chat will be available for those who want additional connection, encouragement, and accountability between runs.

Please note that this is not a crisis service or individual therapy. While I will offer guidance, reflections, and resources as appropriate within the group context, I am not able to provide ongoing individual clinical support outside of sessions.

  • Consistency is an important part of the group experience, but we understand that things come up.

If you need to miss a session, you’ll still have access to the weekly theme and reflection prompt, as well as the group chat for connection and accountability. While sessions aren’t recorded, the intention is that you’ll still feel supported in staying engaged with the process.

Because the group builds over time and relies on consistency and trust, participants are asked to commit to the full 8 weeks and pay upfront, even if a session is missed. This supports a more grounded and connected experience for everyone involved.
